Collection · Armchairs and ottomans

A chair you'll fall asleep in. On purpose.

An armchair is supposed to be the smallest, most personal piece of furniture in your house. We build them around how you actually sit — feet up, book in hand, occasional nap — rather than around how a chair is supposed to look.

Frames and fills

Hardwood frame, springs at the seat, feather and down at the top.

Every armchair starts on a kiln-dried hardwood frame, joined with mortise-and-tenon and corner-blocked at every load point. The seat is suspended on eight-way hand-tied springs over jute webbing. The seat cushion is HD-35 foam wrapped in feather and down so it returns to shape after every sit. Backs and arms are loose-filled with feather over fibre so they soften into the form of the person in the chair.

Covers come off for cleaning. Frames carry a ten-year warranty. Foam inserts can be replaced individually for the cost of materials.
