Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 24 April 2026. By using this website or commissioning work from Turboniq Atelier Sdn Bhd, you agree to the following terms.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the turboniq.bond website (the "Site") and to any commission you place with Turboniq Atelier Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 1568432-X) of Lot 22 Jalan Industri Kepayan 3, Kawasan Perindustrian Kepayan, 88300 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (referred to as "we", "us" and "the Atelier"). They do not affect any statutory rights you have under Malaysian consumer law.

2. Use of the Site

The Site is provided for general information about our furniture services. You may browse and link to public pages for non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise commercially reuse content from the Site without our prior written consent. All photographs, drawings, written content and trade marks on the Site remain our property or that of the relevant rights holder.

3. Enquiries and quotations

Submitting the contact form on the Site is an enquiry, not an order. We will reply with first questions, often a sketch or rough indication of feasibility, and an indicative price range. A binding commission only exists once we have issued a written fixed quote, you have signed it, and we have received the agreed deposit.

4. Deposits, payment and ownership

For most commissions we ask for a deposit of 50% of the fixed quote on order confirmation, with the balance payable within seven days of delivery. Ownership of materials and the finished piece passes to you when the final invoice has been paid in full. Until then, materials and work in progress remain our property.

5. Changes after confirmation

If you would like to change the design after we have started building, we will tell you what the change costs (in time and money) before we make it. If the change is significant, we may ask you to sign a brief variation to the quote. We will not invoice a change you have not approved.

6. Delivery and risk

We aim to deliver within the timeline given in the fixed quote and we share fortnightly progress updates. Where a delay is caused by our supplier, by weather, by a public-holiday closure or other event beyond our control, we will tell you the moment we know. Risk in the finished piece passes to you on delivery and acceptance.

7. Warranty

Every piece carries a ten-year warranty on frame and joinery, a five-year warranty on springs and webbing, and a three-year warranty on upholstery foam and fabric against manufacturing defect. The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, accidental damage, modification by a third party, or use outside the conditions the piece was designed for (for example, outdoor use of an indoor piece). To make a warranty claim, contact us at [email protected] with photographs.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel a commission at any time before the build starts, with refund of the deposit less any costs we have already incurred (typically design time and any timber already cut to size). Once the build has started, the deposit is non-refundable in respect of work already done, though we will always discuss a fair settlement based on stage of completion.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability under or in connection with any commission is limited to the price paid for that commission. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sabah.
